Executive Recruiter Position Summary:

  • This role will be responsible for full lifecycle recruiting, including building strong partnerships with Candidates and Clients
  • Hiring Managers, developing strategic recruiting plans and job descriptions, sourcing candidates, screening/vetting, interviewing, negotiating, and much more.
  • Executive Recruiters will need to communicate effectively on the telephone and through email.
  • Executive Recruiters must possess a no-fear attitude toward making cold-calls to attract the top talent and build our SSG network
  • Partner with Hiring Managers to provide professional and expert consultation with regard to the hiring process and the market for talent.
  • Facilitate interview and hiring discussions with Interviewers and Hiring Managers.
  • Stay informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques, as well as creating new strategies in order to be competitive in recruiting practices.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Professional work experience
  • Strong oral and written skills are required
  • Must have a high attention to detail and possess strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Proven negotiation and presentation skills, ability to influence decision makers

Sales Position Summary:

  • The sales role encompasses of generating new leads and signing clients
  • Our sales team must possess a no-fear attitude towards making cold- calls to attract the top clients and build our network
  • Continuously call and follow up with viable leads
  • Negotiate and finalize contacts
  • Guide Hiring managers and provide professional and expert consultation with regard to the hiring process and the market for talent

Associate Recruiters

Recent college graduates who are interested in joining the SSG team are encouraged to explore our Associate Recruiter program.

Associate Recruiters participate in a 10-week, paid training program to develop their interviewing, negotiating, and candidate sourcing skills in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Associate Recruiters learn the foundations of executive recruiting, and work their way up to owning a full-cycle headhunting assignment by the end of the 10-week program.  Training will be provided to build skills in candidate sourcing, cold-calling, interviewing, and negotiation.

Successful Associate Recruiters often have sales, retail, or restaurant experience, and have an athlete mentality: arrive early, stay late, and work hard every day. Interested candidates should be eager to work in a sales-driven environment, and have experience meeting tight deadlines with high expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify qualified candidates based on descriptions from hiring managers, using a variety of sources.
  • Create working relationships with hiring managers and candidates, work with them for full life-cycle recruiting.
  • Create prudent recruiting plans, write detailed job descriptions, organize and perform interviews, and perform all other tasks related to candidate recruiting
  • Interact with candidates and hiring managers effectively via email and telephone
  • Organize and conduct hiring discussions and interviews with both hiring managers and interview candidates
  • Be aware and informed about new recruiting methods and create new recruiting techniques of your own

FAQs

  • Who should apply?
    • Recent college graduates who have less than 1 year of full-time work experience. Previous experience in sales, retail, or restaurants is preferred but not required.
    • Experienced hires should apply for an Executive Recruiter position.
  • Is this a paid position?
    • Yes. ARs work a slightly different schedule than our Executive Recruiters, but are paid for the duration of the program. Upon invitation to join the team full-time, candidates will be offered a base salary plus commission structure.
  • Is everyone guaranteed a position?
    • No. The program functions like a competitive internship – not all candidates are guaranteed a full-time position after the program, but candidates who work hard, learn quickly, and put in 110% effort will be invited to join the SSG team. There are weekly check-ins to discuss performance and progress, and set metrics to hit for each week.
  • How should I prepare for an Associate Recruiter interview?
    • Print out multiple copies of your updated resume, and bring them with you on interview day. Be sure to include any full- or part-time jobs and internships you may have worked in college, and any leadership positions you may have held in various extracurriculars. Come prepared to discuss why you’re interested in recruiting, why you think you’d thrive in a sales environment, and how you’ve overcome challenges in the past. The SSG team is looking for evidence you will work hard, be gritty, and be unafraid to go after new opportunities.
  • What’s the difference between executive recruiting and corporate recruiting?
    • Corporate recruiters are in-house, and recruit employees for their company, mostly through connecting with candidates actively looking for a new position. Most corporate recruiting roles offer a base salary, but not commission. Executive Recruiters, in contrast, are recruiting employees who will be full-time employees of their clients, mostly through connecting with passive candidates who may not be actively looking for a new position. Executive Recruiters work in a competitive, commission-driven environment.

Marketing Specialist Summary:
