Search Solution Group Hosts First Women in Human Resources Event

We place a huge emphasis on partnering with Human Resources leaders and wanted to create a space that would unite the entire Charlotte community. As such, we hosted a powerful Women in HR event that allowed women to grow their network and discuss trending topics in the industry.

Watch the live stream here.

Our Director of Brand Acceleration, Cara Walters, shares her initial perspective of our work in the HR space. “I’ve been a part of the Search Solution team for just over 3 months and the level of success we have placing top talent, especially in the HR department, is monumental. I thought it was only right that our first event mirrors how dedicated we are to women in HR.”

This event was co-hosted by our VP of Search Solution Executive, Allison Horton, and our President of Search Solution Staffing, Ashley Goldberg. The panel consisted of six of the best and brightest HR leaders in Charlotte, Suzanne Awn, Angela Kirkby, Natalie Kittredge, Brenda Sandoval-Logsdon, Courtney Hamlett and was moderated by Spencer Stoakley.

The panels conversation covered interesting topics ranging from the steps that newer HR professionals can take to accelerate their career, the importance of mental health awareness, and the responsibility that companies have to ensure equal pay across the board.

“In the current marketplace we’re fighting for strong talent and that goes across all industries.” declares panelist Brenda Sandoval – Logsdon.

With the scarcity of qualified talent in the market, having a headhunting firm at your side is more important now than it has been in recent years. Search Solution Group takes strides daily to help companies find their perfect candidate at unprecedented speeds.

It’s safe to say that the conversations discussed will extend far beyond last night’s event, but we’re so glad that we were able to facilitate the initial discussion.

VP, Allison Horton, shares what yesterday’s event meant for her, “I’ve recruited on HR positions for over 4 years now and I love to see women in this field come together and discuss topics that we’re all so passionate about. Last night was truly inspiring and I’m looking forward to future opportunities to host this continued dialogue.”
