First, our firm communicates with the client to develop a thorough understanding of the required skills and experience. Our search is then narrowed to mechanical engineers with precise experience and industry experience our client requires. For instance, a role in plastics manufacturing will require experience with certain types of molding machinery: injection molding, extrusion, thermoforming, blow molding, etc. Our recruiters then go out and find mechanical engineers that have hands-on experience with that type of equipment and mechanical systems.
